What is StrataPress?
StrataPress is an online document selling platform used by Property Managers and self-managed Strata Corporations who want to provide Realtors, Lawyers and Notaries with fast and easy access to strata documents, while automating the document request process, saving administrative time and costs.
We calculate the costs, manage the sale, and send 100% of the revenue to the Property Manager or Strata Corporation every month.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost for using StrataPress to manage documents online and provide them for purchase and download. There is a nominal convenience fee paid by the requester of the documents.
How does our Property Management firm save time and money with StrataPress?
Property Management companies can use our desktop application to manage documents right on their own server. This feature saves time as there is no requirement to upload or mange documents online. Documents are downloaded as soon as the requestor has made their purchase, so there is no administrative effort required assembling documents, printing or photocopying.
Other than Form B and Form F requests, all document requests are automated.
Email notifications are sent when a Form B and/or Form F request is made and when strata documents are purchased.
Overall there is much less time spent on communication and processing document requests. When more documents are available online, more documents are purchased and there is virtually no requirement for further communication about missing or forgotten documents.
Who is StrataPress designed for?
Our secure online platform is for Property managers and self managed Strata Corporations who want to automate strata document requests and sell documents online. We offer a document management platform and a document ordering system for those requesting Form B’s/F’s though a registered account.
Realtors, Lawyers and Notaries who are interested in purchasing strata documents from property management companies and self-managed Strata Corporations in BC, use StrataPress to place orders and manage their document requests.
Is it easy to use? Is training available?
StrataPress is very intuitive and easy to use. Most new users can create an account and place their first order in a matter of minutes.
Managing documents is also very easy, but we will provide training for Strata Managers on request, just contact us and we will arrange a convenient time for an online training session. You’ll be an expert in 20 minutes or less.
Where is the strata information stored?
StrataPress uses Microsoft Azure data centers located in Toronto and Montreal. We also have dedicated servers in Vancouver, BC.

Realtors, Lawyers and Notaries involved in the sale of a strata unit can access documents through a dedicated dashboard they receive access to when they register. Access to strata documents can be set through document management platform we provide to Property Managers and Strata Councils (Self Managed Stratas).
How does StrataPress manage privacy issues?
The Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) sets out the ground rules for how private sector and not-for-profit organizations may collect, use or disclose information about a user. Information collected is primarily restricted to name, address, email address and phone number. All of this information is for the purpose of verifying a new registered user, and to provide ongoing communication with that user. No personal information is displayed publicly and confidential strata information is only accessible by authorized users.
Is there a social networking component?
There is no social networking component with StrataPress. Social messaging & interaction online requires monitoring, which means more work for strata volunteers and the property managers, not less. For example, if an owner is circulating information, or misinformation that is upsetting other owners or potentially damaging to the community, then the board will have to take the time to respond by correcting the misinformation and/or stating the position of the board.
StrataPress is designed to facilitate direct communication between the strata council, owners and tenants (& property manager if desired). Owners & tenants can not directly message each other than in private discussions, but they can partake in group discussions via an Update or in a Discussion they have been added to by the strata council.
Facebook Group Pages are free and keep the Strata Corporation arms length away from any potential liability that could arise from offering a social media platform to its members.

We only have less than 10 units, is StrataPress helpful for us?
Absolutley. Stratapress is a great option for a strata of any size. Documenting any changes, discussions, incidents and other events is very important to maintaining the property over the course of many years. There will be new owners within the strata eventually, so having everyone on the same page saves an enormous amount of time & effort.
